Already, our blog has inspired classroom projects in Itagüí, a town just south of Medellín in the Colombian state of Antioquia (of which Medellín is the capital). These projects involve two educational institutions: the “Institución Educativa Pedro Estrada,” which is using computers in its classrooms; and the "Institución Educativa Juan N. Cadavid," which offers programs for hard-of-hearing children using the XO computers of the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC).
We welcome these institutions, and we are happy to be part of the commitment of the State of Antioquia to bring educational use of computers into classrooms and to offer bilingual education.
